Biliana Shagova is a corporate and commercial lawyer and her main areas of expertise include commercial and corporate matters, employment and social and health security.

Biliana has extensive experience in advising on complex, high value corporate deals and multi-jurisdictional M&A and commercial transactions in Bulgaria and in the South-East Europe region, with particular expertise in the energy sector, including on the Belene Nuclear Power Plant project.

Biliana joined Hristov & Partners as a Counsel in 2015.

Biliana Shagova has acted on two of the biggest deals, in which our firm has been recently involved as the buyers’ sole Bulgarian counsel: the acquisition of MKB auto leasing and fleet management business in Bulgaria by ALD Automotive (a Societe Generale Group company) and the acquisition of Devin, the leading mineral and spring bottling company in Bulgaria, by the Belgian based West European market leader S.A. Spadel.

Biliana’s work has been recognised by clients and peers in The IFLR 1000 EMEA 2018, where she has been singled out as a Rising Star in two categories: M&A and Projects.
