We acted for the investor in a regional clinical trials group of companies on the sale of its shares to a strategic investor. The deal won the 2022 Deal of the Year in Bulgaria accolade, awarded by the international legal publication CEE Legal Matters.

We teamed up with a global law firm to advise a European family-owned company specializing in the production of natural mineral water, spring water and natural fruit drinks, on the acquisition of the market-leading producer of bottled water in Bulgaria. The transaction was based on an enterprise value of €120 million making it a top 3 M&A deal in terms of value in Bulgaria for 2016.

We acted, along with a global law firm, for the leading multinational integrated security group in the divestment of its Bulgarian subsidiary company. The transaction followed a strategic global-wide business review that included restructuring and exits from various non-core jurisdictions across the globe.

We acted as local counsel alongside a global law firm to advise a fleet management and car leasing company, part of an international financial and banking group, on acquiring the fleet management and leasing business of a Hungarian financial banking group in Bulgaria to become the largest fleet management service provider in the country.

We advised a publicly listed US technology company on the acquisition of a US – Bulgarian storage virtualization company, as a Bulgarian co-counsel to a global law firm. A Top 5 M&A Deal of 2014 in Bulgaria in terms of value.

We advised a US based international renewable energy company on the Bulgarian aspects of its investment in a joint venture operating solar energy projects in six jurisdictions across the globe.

We acted, along with an international law firm, for a lenders syndicate, and its UK based specialist fund manager providing debt and equity capital to small and medium-sized businesses, for the financing of the acquisition of a group of technology and market research consultancy companies in Bulgaria. We assisted the syndicate on all matters relating to the structuring and execution of the related Bulgarian security package.

We acted for a the founders of a leading Bulgarian dealership of automotive spare parts and accessories on the acquisition of the local business operations of a global provider of alternative and accessory parts and the formation of a joint venture and the sale of a minority share interest in our client to the global provider in a complex series of interrelated transactions resulting in the creation of a market leader on the Bulgarian market for car parts.

We advise a start-up technology company and a market leader on the taxi services applications market in Bulgaria, on various issues including compliance review and analysis of its effective contracts and preparation of general terms and conditions for the use of the application by end customers and drivers.

We advised a Bulgarian tech startup that operates an online platform for facilitating contacts between end customers and professionals and private practitioners in over 10 jurisdictions and growing. We have prepared tailored privacy and personal data rules and general terms and conditions to govern the two principal types of relationships of the platform operator: with the end customers and with the professional service providers.
